Students can join half day, whole day or full-time courses at pre entry level.

A wide range of courses is offered to suit students' individual needs and interests

The aim of our courses is to develop students' skills, raise their confidence, promote self-advocacy and prepare a path to further studies and/or employment.

Students work towards Open College Network (OCN) or college accreditation and individual learning goals. A commitment to learning and regular attendance is required from the learner.

Courses are offered at differentiated levels.

Students are given plenty of help to support their learning.

Courses are held during the days, in the evening and sometimes at weekends.

Wheelchair

Is this an activity/service ONLY for people with learning difficulties?

Yes. However, many of our students will have additional mental health issues and physical disabilities.

Meeting

Does a person need to have an assessment to take part in this activity?

Yes. All new students will need to be informally interviewed, which also provides an opportunity for an initial assessment of communication skills to be made (approx 1 hour, if appropriate).

Support needs are also discussed with disability support tutor.

Money

Is there a charge for the activity/service?

No. However, in some courses students will be required to pay for bus fares, trips out, etc.

Car

Is transport provided?

No. However, some students can apply for funding/bus cards to help with travel costs.
