complaint policy

PALS performs four key functions:

1.    to sort out patients', carers' and relatives' concerns quickly and efficiently

2.    to help to improve the outcome of care

3.    to provide information to patients to help them make the best use of the NHS.

4.    to improve the patient's experience.

PALS and Confidentiality

The service is confidential and the patient's permission will always be obtained before personal information is discussed with others.

PALS and Complaints

PALS will not replace existing complaints systems. It is expected that people may choose to speak to PALS first, especially where the difficulty can be easily or quickly resolved.
