The Making Decisions Alliance (MDA) has trying to do 2 things.

They are trying to raise the profile and understanding of the issues surrounding making decisions.

They are trying to get new legislation on mental capacity.

The MDA has been supporting the progress the draft Mental Capacity Bill. It has also been trying to improve key areas of the draft legislation. The Bill was introduced to Parliament in 2003.

The Making Decisions Alliance (MDA) brings together over 30 national and regional organisations and groups. These groups are mostly from the voluntary sector. They work with people who have difficulty in making or communicating decisions.
