independent and impartial support to any agency in Bristol to identify people
who are interested in sharing supported living accommodation and to meet
other people who would also like to share within the boundaries of Bristol
City.
Also identify how
people with similar needs and desires can network together, and be supported
to move and transition into the appropriate supported living accommodation.

this an activity/service ONLY for people
with learning difficulties?
Yes
Does a person
need to have an assessment to take part
in this activity?
No formal assessment.
Several meetings would be arranged with the individual etc to assess their
interest/needs for shared accommodation.
A Forum/Get together
would then be arranged for individual to get to know each other better prior
to identifying shared living accommodation and a package of support from a
variety of providers.
Is there a
charge for the activity/service?
No, this is a free
impartial service to any individual and service provider in Bristol.
Is transport
provided?
Transport can be made
available.

Adrian has many years
experience of working with adults with learning difficulties.
This service is
new to Bristol as there is a recognised need to bring together interested
individuals who may like to share accommodation with support.
All individuals
interested would need a Bristol based Social Worker.
Individuals that live
outside the Bristol boundary who choose to live in Bristol would need a
social worker within the boundary.
